It can take days, weeks, or even months to receive notifications of certifications, denials. Sometimes a request for information from the State Workforce Agency can also cause a delay.
Several states have faced a backlog of WOTC applications since the program was on hiatus in 2014-2015. States that have online portals tend to be much quicker than states with a mail-only approach.
