WOTC Questions: Can Students Be Employed Part Time?

Just to confirm, the employment can be part time (i.e. while students are in school) and can be for students who take time off from work to go back to school.

At CMS, as Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) experts and service providers since 1997, we receive a lot of questions via our website. This week’s question came from an employee!

CMS Says: Absolutely! You can employ students or other part time workers who are WOTC eligible. The only difference is that it may take slightly longer for them to reach both the minimum  (120) or maximum (400) number of hours in order for you to receive credit.
