CMS Responds: Sometimes the employer or the new hire asks the question “why are you asking if I’m on SNAP?” Well, the reason is your employer (or we are) as a company, is taking advantage of a federal program to initiate jobs, and we need your participation. And if you are receiving SNAP we can get a tax credit for bringing you onboard.
