WOTC (Work Opportunity Tax Credit) screening is now supported within Indeed Apply. This has been a top piece of feedback from many of you, and we worked closely with
Indeed to make it happen.
What’s New
WOTC screening can now be completed as part of the Indeed Apply workflow —no separate process required. If you already work with CMS, you can link directly to the WOTC questionnaire right from your Indeed job application.
How It Works
- Indeed inserts your WOTC URL into a custom Screener Question within your Indeed Apply flow.
- During the application, job seekers see the link or prompt as part of the application experience.
- When they click it, the WOTC Screening page opens in a new browser tab.
- The job seeker completes the required tax-credit forms directly with CMS —this is where sensitive information (like SSN or date of birth) is collected, securely, off of
Indeed. - The job seeker returns to Indeed to finish and submit their application.
What This Means for You
- No more losing WOTC screening opportunities because candidates are applying through Indeed.
- Your existing relationship with CMS and WOTC workflow stay exactly the same —we’re just connecting it to the Indeed Apply experience.
- Sensitive candidate data continues to be collected and managed entirely and securely by CMS, not by Indeed.
