The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a Federal tax credit available to employers for hiring individuals from certain target groups who have consistently faced significant barriers to employment. The tax credit ranges from $2,400 to $9,600, depending on the employee hired, and hours worked, and based on our 25 years of experience, 10%-15% of new hires may qualify.
