Today’s WOTC Wednesday question: Do I Submit the WOTC Forms Before or After the Employee Reaches 120 Hours?

CMS Responds: One of the WOTC questions we get is “Do I Submit the WOTC Forms After the Employee Reaches 120 Hours or Before?” So, I think most of us know the answer to this. That is that you have to actually screen the employee and submit their documentation to the D.O.L. within 28 days of the employee’s start date. So we have to get people qualified before we look at the hours worked. So, lets get them screened, lets stay within the 28 day window that we can submit for the qualification of that candidate, and then once we get the certificate back then we can start counting the hours and the 120 hour rule.
